Chapter 3 I Really Like You
The temperature inside the car was different from outside; the air conditioning was very comfortable. Leonard looked down at the person in his arms. Joshua was like a big warm baby, his body radiating heat.
Leonard reached out and pinched Joshua''s chubby cheeks, his deep, magnetic voice carrying a hint of teasing: "Wow, it''s been half a month, and you''ve gained more weight, baby."
Joshua looked up at him, his eyes drooping, and said pitifully, "Leonard, do you think I''m fat too?"
The man immediately shook his head, a gentle smile tugging at his thin lips as he spoke playfully, "How could I? It''s so comfortable to hold you with a bit of meat. Leonard can''t get enough of it. Let me hold you a bit longer."
"Okay!"
However, in the near future, Joshua would realize one thing: a man''s words can be deceiving.
Noticing the sweat on Joshua''s face, Leonard lowered the car''s air conditioning temperature a bit and took a bottle of cold water from the small fridge next to him, handing it to Joshua. "Have some water. Did you have lunch?"
Joshua''s eyes flickered, "Uh... yes!"
The young man was so simple-minded, his thoughts written all over his face. Leonard smiled but didn''t expose his lie.
After half a month apart, Joshua hadn''t stopped thinking about Leonard for a single day. He looked earnestly at the man''s handsome, mature face, his fingers tracing over Leonard''s beautiful eyebrows, then down his high nose, stopping at his well-shaped thin lips.
"Leonard, it still feels like a dream," Joshua said softly, his moist black eyes reflecting the man''s image, filled with joy and deep affection. The young man''s lips curved into a faint smile, "Leonard, I really, really like you."
Before meeting Leonard, Joshua''s life had been unlucky. After meeting Leonard, he realized that he had saved up nineteen years of luck just to meet this man.
Those nineteen years of misfortune were worth it.
No one could refuse such sincere, passionate, and undisguised eyes. Leonard ruffled the young man''s hair, his deep eyes filled with a smile, "Leonard likes you too."
The man slowly lowered his head and captured Joshua''s lips. His kiss was possessive, sometimes gentle, sometimes urgent, making it impossible to resist. The young man had already closed his eyes, raising his hand to hook around the man''s neck, actively responding to him.
In an instant, the air in the car was filled with an ambiguous atmosphere, very quiet, with only the sound of lips and teeth colliding and heavy breathing lingering in the ears.
After a long kiss, Joshua''s body had turned into a puddle of water. He lay on the man''s solid shoulder, panting, his cheeks flushed, his black eyes moist and dazed, still filled with lingering desire.
Leonard stared at him for a while, then suddenly said, "Did you sneak a coffee just now?"
"Huh? How did you know?" Joshua looked at him in surprise.
The man smiled mischievously, his handsome face carrying an ambiguous smile, and said in a low voice, "Just now, your mouth tasted sweet."
"Ah... I never want to shoot a period drama in the summer again. It''s too hot. But luckily, I only have half a month left before we wrap up. After that, how about we go to the beach?"
Caught sneaking a treat, Joshua awkwardly changed the subject.
Leonard helplessly knocked on his forehead, "Don''t do that again, or I''ll punish you by keeping you in bed for three days."
"Okay!" The young man nodded with a red face.
They talked for a while longer, and maybe because the temperature in the car was so comfortable, Joshua fell asleep on Leonard''s shoulder while talking.
Leonard quietly watched him, a faint smile on his lips, when suddenly a phone call interrupted the peaceful and beautiful atmosphere.
"Hello, who is this?" The man lowered his voice, perhaps afraid of waking the person next to him.
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line. Just as he was about to hang up, the person on the other end spoke:
"Leonard, I''m back."
